Link Vault Reveiw

Link Vault is an automatic system for link exchanges. It works like this: You add one or more of your sites to the network. By adding a little script on your site you give linkvault access to place between 1 and 5 links on the page where the script is. This is fully automatic and you can define where and how you want the links. For having these links on your site you are rewarded a sort of points called vaultage. Vaultage can in it's turn be converted to inbound links for your site, or some other site of yours. It's not needed to get the links back to the same site that has lnk vault installed.

Is it hard to install?

Well, it is not really easy to install Link vault. The first thing you need to do is register which you do here. After that you have to add one of your sites to the network. You add it by filling out a form at the link vault page. When the site is registered you have to start working on the code of the site. First you need to upload a couple of files, this is quite easy you get good instructions so even a fairly fresh webmaster should manage. On at least one of the files you need to change permissions to write so that LV can update it. After you have uploaded the files you need to add a small snippet to every page on the site where you want links. The links will show up on the spot where you add the snippets and they are customizable, even if you use CSS. The snippet looks something like this:

<?php
    ini_set ("include_path", ini_get ("include_path") . ':../:../../:../../../:../../../../:../../../../../');
    include ('lvalotsofnumbers.php');
    echo DisplayLinks(3,'',' - ','','');
?>

 Note that there are a few parameters which can be set in the snippet, such as number of links and separators between the links.

When the snippet is added you are ready for a test run. You can try it with a test mode that should show test links. I have installed LV on quite a few sites and it has never worked the first time. Depending on what sort of site you run this can get quite annoying.

Getting links for your sites

When you have managed to set up a site for links and it have started generating vaultage, this can take a few days, you can start setting up sites for receiving links. This is much easier and you can have several different set ups for lots of different sites or different anchor texts for the same site. When you have added one or more sites to receive links you have to wait again. You can set the tempo of the inbound links, say to 3 or 10 new links/day depending on how secure your site is since before or how bold you are.

How good is Link Vault?

Link vault is a really good system once you have done the setup. You can chose language and topic of the sites you get links from. You can chose how many links/day you want and to what pages. There are a few setbacks though, most of the links you get from link vault are rather low quality, especially if you use another language then english. The problems with the setup is, of course, a problem for LV too but they have a really good support forum where you can get quick help and the manager will reply your mails very fast.

Should you try link vault?

Definately. Link vault is a good way to get inbound links for your sites and if you have spare sites that you don't use they are an perfect choice for setting up for outbound links. Try it out: Link Vault
